Inversions are challenging poses that teach us how to cultivate patience and promote confidence. Building an inversion practice requires consistency and intentional preparation. They are often not taught in yoga classes, or not enough detail is cued to help you learn the poses in a safely and aligned way.
In this series, you will learn the fundamental techniques to build the stability and flexibility for an inversion practice. Part yoga class and part workshop, each week will focus on a different inversion: Sirsasana- Headstand(s), Handstand, Pincha Mayurasana- Feathered Peacock. Classes will include both anatomy lecture and asana practice. There will be ample time to practice, ask questions and receive 1 on 1 attention. The series will allow you to work slowly at your own level to develop the tools you need for a sustainable inversion practice. Be curious, courageous and come to the mat ready to play! A consistent yoga practice required.
